Auditions will be at The Performing Arts Conservatory, 237 Elm Street, New Caanan.
Prepare a 2-3 min. song from the classical musical theatre repertoire (Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe etc.) Or a song from The Music Man. All ensemble members must be excellent singers and dancers.

Everyone will not be called for every rehearsal. A schedule will be given at the beginning of rehearsals. Rehearsals are from 6pm-10pm Monday-Friday starting June 16 and Saturdays from 10:00-5:00.

Prof. Harold Hill — (Adult) a con man, pretending to be a traveling salesman; mesmerizing, charismatic, moves extremely well.
Marian Paroo — (Adult) a librarian and the town's piano teacher; beautiful soprano and good dance ability.
Winthrop Paroo — (5-9 years old) Marian's younger brother, has a lisp, sings "Gary, Indiana", moves well.
Mrs. Paroo — (Adult) Marian's Irish mother, lovable, good singer and moves well.
Mayor George Shinn — (Adult) a blustery politician, strong comic character.
Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn — (Adult) the mayor's wife and the head of the "Woman's Auxiliary Club", strong comic character.
The Barbershop Quartet (Double as the salesmen) — four bickering school board members (Olin Britt, Oliver Hix, Ewart Dunlop and Jacey Squires), excellent choral singers.
Pickalittle Ladies — (Adult) Eulalie's four gossipy friends, Alma Hix, Mrs. Squires, Ethel Toffelmier, Maud Dunlop, comical, sing well and move well.
Marcellus Washburn — (Adult) Harold's friend, strong comical character, good singer and dancer
Amaryllis — (9-12 years) Marian's young piano student, good singer and dancer
Tommy Djilas — (Teen-20's) a young man "from the wrong side of town", excellent singer and dancer.
Zaneeta Shinn — (Teen-20's) the mayor's eldest daughter, excellent singer and dancer
Gracie Shinn — (6-9) the mayor's younger daughter, good singer and dancer.
Charlie Cowell (Adult) (Doubles as a townsman, Ernie Sinkey) — a rival salesman who tries to expose Prof. Harold Hill as a con man.
9 Children — Ages 5-15, must sing and dance well.
5 Girl Teens — Ages 16-26, must sing and dance well.
